Anoka Awakening – Ministry Work

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” (Matthew 28:19)

The great commission is to make disciples. The making of disciples leads people into salvation. As disciples are led to salvation, by God, by faith through the hearing of the Word, they can be baptized into the faith.

How are we to go and make disciples? Following our perfect example, Jesus Christ, we go out into our society and call out to people, “Come, follow me.” Those who do follow us are there for us to disciple. We can then lead others by saying as Paul, “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)

To make disciples requires us to be disciples. We must truly imitate Christ in order to show others how it is done. Our example is what is observed by others. Our living out of godly principles is what is caught by those who follow us.
