Scripture Personalized – Colossians 1:9-23

February 06, 2017

I pray that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that I may walk worthy of You, Lord, fully pleasing to You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You, God. I pray that I may be strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving all thanks to You, Father, who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and brought me into the kingdom of light. You have brought me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of my sins. Jesus, You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by You all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You and for You. And You are before all things, and in You all things consist. And You are the head of the body, the church. You are the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have preeminence. For it pleased You, Father, that in Jesus all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And I, who was once alienated and an enemy in my mind by wicked works, yet now You, Jesus, have reconciled me in the body of Your flesh through death, to present me holy, and blameless, and above reproach in Your sight – if indeed I continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and I am not moved away from the hope of the gospel which I have heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven.
