Releasing Spiritual Weapons

November 2, 2018

This prayer is to ask God to release the spiritual weapons of warfare upon the works of the enemy in my life and all to which I am connected. Will the enemy ever give up trying to attack me? No; at least not until he is cast into the lake of fire. Will the enemy take no for an answer? No; he will always be looking for weak points to probe and open doors to enter.

From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence and the violent take it by force.

Matthew 11:12

The church suffers persecution and the spiritual realm has much evil pressing in. These are two ways the kingdom of heaven suffers violence. These violent forces attempt to take the kingdom for its destruction. The believer must find the narrow gate, take the narrow road, carrying one’s cross, and forcibly enter the kingdom of heaven in the face of the enemy. The believer passes forcibly through the gauntlet of religion, culture, relationships, and self. Dying to self on a daily basis is also something that needs to be forcibly done. The believer battles with the spiritual weaponry.

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.

2 Corinthians 10:4

So, the believer must tear down strongholds in the personal life as well as the spiritual atmosphere covering the sphere of one’s existence. The souls of the people being used by the adversary must be prayed into the kingdom, as the spiritual adversary is sent to Christ for judgment, as the strongholds are torn down. The other person is not the enemy of the believer, for that person is subject to the demon on the back, so to speak. The demonic is the enemy and the people are to be delivered from bondage into the kingdom of heaven ruled by the Law of Liberty rather than the law of sin and death.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:12

As I grasp the revelation of who my enemy truly is, I can pray in faith and come against the enemy in agreement with Almighty God. I can also love the sinner and hopefully lead the person into the truth and the way of everlasting life; the gospel of peace.

Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

1 John 3:8

We join the Son of God, Jesus Christ, in destroying the works of the devil. The whole of creation has been waiting for us to rise up and take dominion once more.

For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.

Romans 8:19

Creation groans and longs for the restoration of all things. Jesus ascended into heaven where He will remain until such time as appointed by Father.

Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets long ago.

Acts 3:19-21

Jesus Christ won the victory on the cross and now has all authority in addition to all power. He works through His body, the communion of saints, to execute the judgments that are made in the courts of heaven. The believer uses the weapons of warfare to execute the will of God. In so doing the believer prepares the way of the Lord.

As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.’”

Luke 3:4

The believer is to draw close to God and follow Christ, make disciples, stand up to evil and wickedness in the power of God, and thus prepare the way of the lord. Understanding that we can effectively use the spiritual weapons of warfare in faith and according to the will of God.

I receive this by faith as a disciple of my Lord, Jesus Christ and I pray this prayer to come against the enemy of wickedness in heavenly places.

(This prayer takes roughly 9-10 minutes to pray through.)

Heavenly Father, I come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.  I enter Your gates with thanksgiving, and Your courts with praise! I give thanks to You and I bless Your name!1 For You are good; your steadfast love endures forever, and Your faithfulness to all generations.2 With confidence I draw near to the throne of grace, that I may receive mercy and find grace to help in the time of need.3

The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We ask You, Father, to cast down every lofty thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God.4 In Your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand You.5 We seek Your salvation on our behalf, for we believe in You, the LORD our God. We give You thanks, O Lord, for Your steadfast love endures forever.6

I pray for Your great love to wash over those who perpetrate evil as we seek Your salvation for their souls; that they may know the joy of Your salvation and the way of truth and life everlasting. We do not condemn them for You did not come to judge7, but to set the captives free and break the chains of bondage8; destroying the works of the devil.9 That I may be pleasing to my Lord, terms of peace are offered: that the evil and wickedness leave and never return, not leaving any residue behind, and I will have peace in the absence of my enemy; and the people repent and turn to the Lord for forgiveness and salvation, and we shall dwell together in peace worshiping the Living God.10 Do you choose not to leave? Then I will stand firm in the name of the Lord, the name above all names, Jesus, the name to which you will bow and bend the knee, confessing that He is Lord.11

I answer the call to stand strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. I put on the full armor of God that I may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For I do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, I take up the whole armor of God, that I may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, I stand firm.12 And greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world.13 And no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper, and I refute every tongue that rises against me in judgment. For this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.14

Standing firm, and withstanding the evil of the day, I take up the full armor of God and the spiritual weapons of warfare. I release these weapons to destroy the works of the devil over my life, my household, my property, my business, my ministry, my city, state and nation. I use the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.15 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.16 The sharp, two-edged sword is in the mouth of the Lord17 and He will judge and rule.

Lord, draw the spear and javelin against my pursuers! Say to my soul, “I am your salvation!”18 Send out Your arrows and lightning, scattering and routing my enemies,19 striking them with fear and defeat.

Cause Your voice to thunder in the heavens, burning and damaging the resources of my enemies with coals of fire and hailstones.20 Let Your majestic voice be heard and cause the descending blow of Your arm to be seen, in furious anger and a flame of devouring fire, with a cloudburst and storm and hailstones.21 Use Your rod of iron to strike and cause my enemy to be terror-stricken.22 Rule over them, breaking their power and weapons to pieces with Your rod of iron.23 Send forth the stream of fire from before You, from Your court sessions.24 Your breath, O God, like a stream of sulfur kindling the fire-pit that has been prepared, deep and wide, with an abundance of fire and wood.25

O LORD, God of my fathers, You are the God in heaven. You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations and of the realms and dimensions. In Your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand You.26 Put siege-works against the encampments of the wicked, and build siege-walls against them, and cast up mounds against them. Set camps also against them, and plant battering rams all around them. Use the battering rams against their gates.27 Direct the shock of Your battering rams against the walls of the structures and fortresses of my enemies and break down their towers with Your axes.28

Almighty God, cut off the pride of the enemy with your razor, shaving them head to feet, and sweep away the beard.29 Pouring out Your wrath upon them, let them melt in the heat in the midst of Your furnace as silver is melted, and they will know that You are the Lord.30 Let them be put to shame and dishonor who seek after my life. Let them be put to shame and disappointed altogether who rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me!31 Send confusion into the enemy camp as you did with the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir when they came up against Judah.32 Confusion such as among the Philistines when they came against the Israelites.33 Let their existence hang in doubt before them. Let them night and day be in dread and have no assurance of their life.34

Send forth your judgment as a hot wind from the bare heights of the desert.35 Blow with Your wind; let the sea cover them; let them sink like lead in mighty waters.36 Remove them with Your fierce breath in the day of the east wind as You contend with them.37 Bring an east wind upon them all day and all night. Let the east wind bring the locusts.38 Bring the locusts to those who will not let go and let them devour all the resources of the enemy and everything the enemy has planted. Let all the evil fruit of the enemy be utterly devoured.39 Whistle, Lord, and let Your hiss bring about plague and pestilence of the fly and the bee and pain for my enemies.40 Send Your hornets before me and drive them out.41 Send against them deadly arrows of famine, arrows for destruction, sent to destroy them, bringing more famine upon them and breaking off their supply of bread.42

Pour out upon my enemies a spirit of deep sleep, covering their eyes that they may not see.43 Because of their rage against You and the kingdom, put Your hook in their nose and Your bit in their mouth, turning them back on the way from which they came.44 Put Your hooks in their jaws and lift them up out of the midst of the land.45 Spread out Your net over them and take them in Your snare. Bring them into judgment for the treachery they have committed against You.46 Like a cage full of birds, their house is full of deceit; therefore, they have become great and rich; becoming a dwelling place for demons, a haunt for unclean spirits.47 You have whet Your sword; you have bent and readied Your bow. Use upon them the deadly weapons You have prepared, making Your arrows fiery shafts.48 Cause them to fall into the hole they have made; the pit they have dug out. Let their mischief return on their own heads, and let their violence descend upon their own skulls.49 Your word is like fire, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces.50 Burn their habitations and break them up. Make them a possession of the hedgehog, and pools of water, and sweep them with Your broom of destruction.51

I pray without ceasing for I am in constant communion with You, my God. I pray in the Spirit with prayer and supplication and I keep alert with perseverance.52 I call out to You Almighty God, for You are holy, enthroned on the praises of your people.53 Father, be glorified in the Son as I ask for deliverance from my enemies in the name of Jesus, that You may do it.54 It is in the name of Jesus that I cast demons out of this land, and that I ask You to clean up this land, the heavenlies, and the souls of the inhabitants of this land.55 Send Forth Your word, Your word will stand, for You have sworn: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.”56 And again, “Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of My counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.”57 I cry out to You, Almighty God, my Creator, Send forth Your word for my liberty, the deliverance of the land, and the salvation of the inhabitants, and it shall be done because You have said it. When two of us agree on earth, asking for the deliverance and salvation that comes only at Your hand, speak it forth from Your throne in heaven, and it will be done.58 Give me Your mind on these matters, O Lord, that I may come into agreement with You.59

Send out Your angels, for they are ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation.60 And let my accuser be conquered by me and the saints, having conquered him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony, and for not loving our lives, even unto death.61 Help me to persuade with patience and a soft tongue.62 Give me gentleness that I may turn away wrath rather than stir up anger.63 Let me not be anxious about anything. In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving my requests are made known to You, O God.64 By the authority given to Jesus, and at His command, I go forth and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.65
