  2. Northeast:   SW Corner of Bunker/Round Lake Blvds (driving route only)
  3. East:                 US Bank on East Main Street
  4. Southeast:  ABC Newspapers Office on Coon Rapids Blvd
  5. South:             Peninsula Point Park on South Ferry St.
  6. West:                Anoka Technical College on US Hwy 10
  7. Northeast:   SW Corner of Bunker/Hwy 47

Route #1 | North

Route Details

Assembly Point

Anoka County Rum River Library
4201 6th Avenue North, Anoka

Route Directions
Driving Route: (2.9 miles)
  • At 3:00 pm, exit left on Bunker Lake Blvd, then right on 7th Avenue, then right on Harrison Street, then left on 2nd Avenue, then left on Jackson Street. Park in City Hall lot or parking ramp.
Walking/Bike Route (2.9 miles)
  • Follow trail from southwest corner of Library to pedestrian overpass of Bunker
  • Follow trail and turn right (west) along south side of Bunker and wind turbine
  • Follow trail and turn left (south) before Rum River Bridge
  • Follow trail south to 4th Avenue/railroad crossing near Northstar Station.
Shorter Walk starts at Homestead (1.0 mile)
  • Continue south along 4th Avenue to US 10 bridge
  • Then follow trail along Rum River on Harrison Street
  • Then south on 2nd Avenue to City
Prayer Walk Guidelines
  • Assemble at Library parking lot at 1:30 pm (or at Homestead at 2:30 pm)
  • Begin with prayer for the walk safety, unity, wisdom, authority
  • Walk on sidewalks or trails
  • Walk singly or in groups of 2-3 in a column
  • As the Holy Spirit guides, pause and pray at locations
  • If driving, stop, park and pray where led by the Holy Spirit

  • For good relationships with Andover neighbors
  • For High School students, teachers, administrators
  • For residents and businesses along the way
  • To invite the Lord to enter this area of the City

Walgreens Drug Store
3605 Round Lake Blvd (SW Cor. Bunker/Round Lake), Anoka

Route Directions
Driving Route (3.0 miles)
  • At 3:00 pm, exit south on Round Lake Blvd to US 10, then right (west) on US 10 to 7th Avenue exit, then left (south) on 7th Avenue, then right (west) on Harrison Street, then left (south) on 2nd Avenue. Park in City Hall lot or parking ramp.
Notice: No walking route!

 Route Directions
Driving Route (1.3 miles)
  • At 3:00 pm, enter Main Street, proceed west on 2nd Avenue, turn right on Jackson Street. Park in City Hall lot or parking ramp.
Walking Route (1.2 miles)
  • Proceed west on south side of Main Street to 7th Avenue
  • Cross to north side of Main Street
  • Proceed west on north side of Main Street to 1st Avenue
  • Turn right on 1st Avenue and then to City Hall.

  • Assemble at US Bank parking lot at 1:30 pm
  • Begin with prayer for the walk safety, unity, wisdom, authority
  • Walk on sidewalks
  • Walk singly or in groups of 2-3 in a column

ABC Newspapers Office
4095 Coon Rapids Blvd, Coon Rapids

Route Directions
Driving Route (1.6 miles)
  • At 3:00 pm, turn right on Coon Rapids Blvd which becomes East River Road in Anoka, continue to 5th Avenue and to Main Street, turn left (west) on Main Street, turn right (north) on 2nd Avenue and proceed to Jackson Street. Park in City Hall lot or parking ramp.
Walking Route (1.6 miles)
  • Proceed west on north side of Coon Rapids Blvd along parking lots into Anoka
  • Continue on the sidewalk on the north side of East River Road
  • Continue on the east side of 5th Avenue to Main Street
  • Turn left (west) and cross 5th Ave and continue on Main Street to 2nd Avenue
  • Turn right (north) and cross Main Street at 2nd Avenue
  • Turn left and continue on north side of Main Street to 1st Avenue
  • Continue to City Hall

Peninsula Point Park
1460 Ferry Road South, Anoka

Route Directions
Driving Route (1.0 mile)
  • At 3:00 pm, exit Park via South Ferry Road, turn right (north) on Ferry Street, proceed to Main Street, turn right (east) on East Main Street, proceed to 2nd Avenue and turn left (north), proceed to Jackson Street. Park in City Hall lot or parking ramp.
Walking Route (0.8 mile)
  • Exit Park via South Ferry Road
  • At Ferry Street walk behind (east side) stone wall north along Ferry Street
  • Access sidewalk at north end of walk
  • Continue to Main Street and turn right and cross Rum River Bridge
  • Turn right and continue to pedestrian walk underpass of Main Street
  • Continue through underpass to Community Room in City Hall

  • Begin with a prayer for the walk-safety, unity, wisdom, authority
  • Walk on sidewalks or trails where available
  • Where no sidewalks or trails, walk near curb with the traffic

  • As the Holy Spirit guides, pause and pray at locations

1355 Hwy 10, Anoka

Route Directions
Driving Route (2.3 miles)
  • At 3:00 pm, circle Technical College, exit east via frontage road, cross Thurston Avenue, proceed behind Alliant Tech building, turn left on Garfield Street, right on Verndale Street, left on Jerome Street, right on Fairoak Avenue, left on Jacob Lane, right on West Main, continue east to 2nd Avenue, turn left onto 2nd Avenue to Jackson Street. Park in City Hall lot or parking ramp
Shorter Walking Route (0.7)
  • Beginning at the West Main Shopping Center (530 West Main)
  • Proceed east on sidewalk on south side of West Main
  • Cross West Main at Franklin School crosswalk (use signal)
  • Continue east to Ferry street, cross Ferry Street
  • Continue across Rum River Bridge
  • Cross Main Street to north side
  • Turn left, access City Hall by outside stairway or front entrance

  • Begin with prayer for the walk safety, unity, wisdom, authority
  • Walk on sidewalks, singly or in groups of 2-3 in a column

  • If driving, stop, park and pray where led by the Holy Spirit

Route Directions
Driving Route (2.2 miles)
  • At 3:00 pm, access Highway 47 and proceed south to Main Street, turn left on East Main Street, proceed to 2nd Avenue, turn left on 2nd Avenue, proceed to Jackson Street. Park in City Hall lot or parking ramp.
Shorter Walking Route (0.8 mile)
  • Beginning at the Anoka Hennepin Offices (2727 Ferry)
  • Proceed south on west side of Ferry Street to Main Street
  • Turn left (east) , cross Ferry Street and cross Rum River Bridge
  • Turn left and access City Hall from outside stairs or front entrance

  • Or assemble at Anoka School Dist. Offices at 2:30 pm
  • Begin with prayer for the walk safety, unity, wisdom, authority
