4. Prayer Time

We need to speak prayers of blessing for the congregations and for the individuals who attend or who are members of the particular church. Prayers for:

·       The Building and the Land

o   Deliverance and Restoration

·       The People

o   Their Welfare: Physical and Spiritual

·       The Leadership

o   Truth, Grace, Mercy

We need to pray for all believers to live in a way that is right and that is pleasing to God.

“He has shown you, o man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8

Here are some of the points of prayer to bring before God.

  • Send angels to war against every evil attacking this church and people
  • Replace every evicted evil with the goodness of God and the Holy Spirit
  • Do not leave a void or a vacuum
  • Post angels as guards and protection over the church and people
  • Send ministering angels for the people of the church
  • Salvation and deliverance for every soul at the church
  • Worship in spirit and in truth at the church
  • Let only truth be preached and taught here
  • Bring down the rebellious to repentance and restoration

“‘Comfort, yes, comfort my people!’ says your God. ‘Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.’ The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth; the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.’” Isaiah 40:1-5

“‘Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasant to the Lord, as in the days of old, as in former years. And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, against adulterers, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, and against those who turn away an alien - because they do not fear me,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from my ordinances and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Malachi 3:1-7

We pray the name Ichabod does not get put upon your doorpost.

·       Ichabod: The glory has departed (Isaiah 4:21)

“‘The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.’ From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” Matthew 4:16-17

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

“If anyone among you thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” James 1:26-27

“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” Hebrews 13:15-16
