Spiritual Weapons of Warfare

October 17, 2018

Following are verses that list weapons to be used in spiritual warfare. This is not an exhaustive list, but it is a powerful list. They can be used as led by Holy Spirit, or directed by the Lord, but they need to be known by us, so they can be picked up and used in the spiritual realm.

A good portion of this list came from a Daniel Duval video, How to Bust Demons Upside the Head. Some have been accumulated through other times of study. I used to wonder what it all meant, but as time has progressed, I followed the admonition of the Lord to learn to pray scripturally. I am still learning, and I currently use many of these weapons in prayer daily. I can only conclude that it is effective based upon the feedback of others concerning the change of spiritual atmosphere, what I hear from those who are gifted with seeing into the spiritual realm, and the increase of how the enemy would like to kick back against me.

However, greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world. And no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper. For this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. (1 John 4:4; Isaiah 54:17) Daniel Duval’s Weapons of Warfare prayer is on his website.

This is a battle in the spiritual realm, not the physical realm that is seen. What happens in the spiritual realm affects the physical realm but may play out a bit differently than what was done in the battle.

Skillful handling of the Word of God is necessary. It is best to have the witness of two or three before decreeing things in battle. The presence of God is also necessary for victory. God will not give a true victory to something at odds with His purposes. So, agreement with one another and with God is essential to gaining the victory.

Some weapons are for us to use in faith and some weapons we call upon God to wield. Both the weapon and the adversary must be considered. Do not engage in a battle that the Lord has not endorsed. When authorized, quoting the scriptures in prayer and proclamation releases the weapons as a sword against the enemy.
